It's great to see some familiar faces and also meeting a lot of new people who are so excited to be part of this huge volunteer movement, apparently the largest in Canadian history! I cannot wait to make an impact as part of the Toronto 2015 team!
Pan Am Games Toronto 2015 is just around the corner. I'm fascinated by the amount of planning that is going on behind the scenes! This past weekend I participated in the next step in the volunteer journey, leadership training which will be going on from now until May for about 4,000 of the 23,000+ volunteers in leadership roles.

It was a great opportunity this past weekend at the Toronto 2015 Headquarters to meet fellow Lead Medical Doctors and Therapists as our training is well under way. The amount of planning required and the generous time that all volunteers are giving really is truly remarkable to pull off this enormous event. I'm so excited to be a part of the 2015 Pan Am Games! This will be the largest games Canada has ever hosted. As a medical volunteer, it's a sacrifice to give my time away from my family and patients, however this is a truly an unique opportunity for me to participate in. I have additional leadership training this upcoming weekend along with continuous in depth online training. It's 123 days and counting until the games begin July 10th!
