DR. STEPHANIE ANISKO

Dr. Stephanie Anisko studied Kinesiology and earned a Bachelor of Science degree with high honour from Michigan State University, where she competed on an athletic scholarship for springboard diving. She then completed a four-year professional program at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto where she graduated cum laude and was recognized for clinical proficiency.
She was the team chiropractor for the Canadian National Springboard and Platform Diving team from 2008 to 2012 and traveled with them to competitions all over the world including the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India, 2011 FINA World Aquatic Championships in Shanghai, China, and 2012 FINA World Cup in London, England. She was invited to be the team chiropractor for the 2012 Olympic Diving Training Camp in Plymouth, England and then went to London to see the divers win two bronze medals! She was the Lead Therapist for Aquatics for the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games!
Dr. Anisko was the 2006 FINA World Aquatic Masters’ silver medalist on both the 1m and 3m springboard and was a diver for over 20 years. She has also competitively participated in a variety of other sports including volleyball, soccer, and track and field. Dr. Anisko is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Dr. Anisko has worked with Mississauga’s Pakmen Volleyball Club since the Men’s Under 18 team won the 2008 Canadian National Championships, as well as members of various local diving, football, volleyball, hockey, baseball, soccer, cheerleading, and dance teams.
Dr. Anisko works at Kids Super Gym Mississauga and is trained and certified in various Chiropractic and soft tissue (muscle-related) techniques including:
• Active Release Technique® (ART)
• Graston Technique® (GT)
• Kinesio® Taping Method (CKTP)
• Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehabilitation® (FAKTR)
• Spinal and extremity adjusting
• Contemporary Medical Acupuncture (through McMaster University)
