Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehabilitation

Dr. Stephanie Anisko completed her training in FAKTR in 2011 after clinical experience utilizing Active Release Technique® and Graston Technique®.
FAKTR (pronounced "factor") is a revolutionary way to treat soft tissue problems. The acronym stands for Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab. The FAKTR concept includes treating soft tissue/fascial disorders through the use of instruments such as Graston Technique® for treatment of the kinetic chain while utilizing various forms of rehabilitation at the same time. It also incorporates treatment in the position of provocation (pain, loss of range of motion, feeling of tightness within the fascia/soft tissues) and with motion. FAKTR incorporates all of the above variations to evaluate and treat soft tissue/fascial conditions. These concepts are quick to apply, easy to grasp and produce rapid results.
FAKTR can treat both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions such as tendinosis (tendinopathy), sprains, strains, entrapment syndromes, fascial restrictions such as plantar fasciosis and ITB syndrome, myofascial pain syndromes, adhesive capsulitis, shin splints, post surgical recovery, etc.
Dr. Steph will do a complete examination and history of your complaint before determining if this is the best treatment for your condition. You might be treated with instruments (such as Graston Technique®) or hands (such as Active Release Technique®). A treatment can take anywhere from a few minutes to up to half an hour, depending on your condition.
